You access your Akashic Records in five simple steps: calm and ground your body, say an opening prayer, ask one clear question, notice the words, images or feelings that come, and then close the Records with a closing prayer. Anyone can learn this. It is a skill, and it gets better with practice.
Let me walk you through it slowly, the way I would explain it to a beginner.
How do I access my Akashic Records?
You open them with a sacred prayer, a calm, grounded body and a clear question. Then you listen, and you close them again when you are done. Here are the steps:
- 1. Get ready. Sit somewhere quiet. Drink some water. Keep your phone away. Put your feet on the floor and take a few slow breaths.
- 2. Set your intention. Know why you are opening the Records today. “I want to understand why I feel so tired around my sister” is a clear reason.
- 3. Say the opening prayer. This is the door. Your method will give you a specific prayer. Say it slowly and with feeling.
- 4. Ask one clear question. Start with “why”, “how” or “what”. For example, “What is this situation teaching me?”
- 5. Listen and note. The answer may come as a word, a picture, a memory, a feeling in the body, or a quiet knowing. Write it down without judging it.
- 6. Close the Records. Say the closing prayer. Thank the Records. Move your hands and feet and come back to the room.
That’s it. Simple steps, but they need practice to feel natural.
Is there an Akashic Records prayer?
Yes. Most methods use a sacred opening prayer and a closing prayer. The opening prayer sets a safe, clear space and connects you with the Records. The closing prayer ends that connection, so you don’t walk around the rest of the day “open” and tired.
Different teachers use different prayers, and many of these prayers belong to their teachers, so I won’t copy them here. You learn your prayer properly from your teacher or method. Many Indian learners also find a Hindi version helps them feel it more deeply.
To show you the feeling of an intention, here is a simple example in my own words. It is not a formal Akashic prayer, only an example:
Simple example intention: “With love and respect, I ask to connect with my own Akashic Records for my highest good. I am open to receive only what is true and helpful for me today.”
Simple example closing: “Thank you for this guidance. I close this connection now and come back fully into my body and my day.”
Can I read my own Akashic Records?
Yes. In fact, most people learn to read their own Records first. It takes practice, a proper method and patience with yourself.
The hard part is not opening the Records. The hard part is not mixing your own wishes with the answer. If you badly want someone to call you back, it is easy to “hear” what you want. That is why a teacher, and practice with feedback, helps so much.
Who can access the Akashic Records?
Anyone. You don’t need to be psychic, a saint or someone who “sees things”. It is a skill, like learning a language. There is a method, and you get better with practice.
I studied computer engineering and did an MBA. I am not saying this to show off. I say it because many people think only “spiritual types” can do this. That’s not true. If you can sit quietly for ten minutes and be honest with yourself, you can learn. Being honest with yourself matters more than being “spiritual”.

Can you access someone else’s Akashic Records?
Only with their permission. An ethical reader never opens another person’s Records without consent.
You can always ask about your side of a relationship in your own Records. For example, “What is my lesson with my mother?” But opening your mother’s Records to see what she thinks of you is not okay without her clear yes.
Can you access the Akashic Records through meditation?
Meditation helps, but on its own it is usually not enough. Meditation prepares you. The prayer opens the Records.
| Meditation | Opening the Akashic Records | |
|---|---|---|
| Main goal | Calm the mind, become present | Receive guidance about your soul’s story |
| How it starts | Breath, mantra or stillness | A calm mind plus a specific opening prayer |
| Questions | Not needed | One clear question at a time |
| How it ends | You simply open your eyes | A closing prayer to end the connection |
| Best use | Daily peace and focus | Understanding patterns and making choices |
My simple rule: meditate daily, open the Records when you have a real question.
How do the Akashic Records work?
You set an intention, say the opening prayer, ask a question, and receive the answer as words, pictures or feelings. Then you close the Records.
The idea behind it is old. Ākāśa (आकाश) means space in Sanskrit. Indian thought says every action leaves an impression, a saṃskāra (संस्कार). The Records are seen as the place where these impressions of your soul are held. When you open them, you are not visiting a building. You are tuning in, like changing a radio to a clear station. For the full background, read my main guide on what the Akashic Records are.
How do I learn to read the Akashic Records?
Learn from a trained teacher with a clear method. Practise on yourself first. Then practise on others and get feedback. A course gives you structure and saves you years of guessing.
If you like to start with reading, my book Akashic Reading Unlocked – Step by Step Guide is written for beginners. You can find it on my books and decks page.
If you want to learn properly with a teacher, my Akashic Records foundation training is Rs 27,999 + 18% GST. I teach in English and in Hindi, online (you can join from anywhere) and in person in Bengaluru. The next in-person workshop is on 21-22 November 2026.
How do I become an Akashic Records reader?
Take a structured course, practise many readings, get feedback, and complete a certification. Then start with a few people and grow slowly.
I teach Akashic Records certification programmes in collaboration with ICPEM, authorized under NITI Aayog. You can read the details on my Akashic Records course and certification page. Reading for others is a responsibility. Go slow, stay humble, and keep your own healing going.

Quick answers
Can AI access the Akashic Records?
No. AI can explain ideas about the Records, but reading them needs a living, conscious connection and prayer.
Why should I access the Akashic Records?
To see where an old hurt began, heal old pain, make clearer decisions and feel more at peace with your life story.
How long does it take to learn?
You can learn the steps in a short time. Trusting what you receive takes regular practice over weeks and months.
What if I receive nothing the first time?
That is very normal. Stay relaxed, ask simple questions, and write down even small feelings. The connection gets clearer with practice.
Is there an Akashic Records prayer in Hindi?
Many learners use a Hindi prayer or a Hindi version of their method’s prayer. Learn it from your teacher so the meaning stays correct.
Can I open my Records every day?
You can, but there is no need. Open them when you have a real question, not to ask the same worry again and again.
One gentle note: the Records are for understanding and healing. They don’t replace a doctor or therapist when you need one.
The Bhagavad Gita says karmaṇy evādhikāras te mā phaleṣu kadācana (कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन), your right is to your action, never to the fruit. Opening the Records works the same way. You do your part: sit, breathe, ask honestly. The answers come in their own time, and the learning never really finishes.
